Stability Testing
Stability test is one of the basic parameters to determine the shelf life of biocidal products as well as cosmetic products.
Stability tests in biocidal products are carried out with 3 different methods:
- Short Term Stability Test: It is the accelerated stability test performed on biocidal products. It is not applied to biocidal products that can degrade above 30°C.
- Long-Term Stability Test: It is the stability test performed on biocidal products that can degrade above 30°C.
- Open Package Stability Test: It is the stability test performed at 25 C for the period specified on the label for biocidal products.
In the stability tests, the evaluation is made based on the changes in the following parameters:
- pH Value
- Determination of Active Substance Amount
- Determination of Density
- Appearance, Quantity, Odor, and Color Control
