Moisturizing Test

Moisturizing Test

The “Humidification Test” is one of the efficacy tests performed on all body care products with moisturizing properties, especially moisturizing creams. Moisturizing products are products that increase the skin's ability to retain moisture. Moisturizers, which can be found in cream, serum, lotion or spray forms, are preferred according to skin types.

Apart from moisturizing cream, skin care products such as hand soap, body lotion and shower gel should leave the skin soft and moist at a certain level. In addition, the "Humidification Test in Cosmetic Products" is carried out in order to prove the moisturizing claims of cosmetics and personal care products such as "instant moisturizing" and "long-term moisturizing" feature.

Humidification tests can be performed in two different ways in general.

  • Exaggerated Work: It is a study performed by compressing the long-term use of moisturizing products into a short time. It is classified by the use of products such as hand soap in a short time.
  • Kinetic Study: This is a study conducted to verify the claims that the moisturizing product has “up to XX hours of hydration”.

Humidification tests are also among the effectiveness tests performed on many cosmetic products.
