“Paraben”, which is p-Hydroxy benzoic acid esters, is used in cosmetic products to increase shelf life and prevent deterioration of products. Cosmetics; It contains Paraben in different forms such as methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben or benzylparaben.It is used for microbiological protection in cosmetic products, especially due to its low cost. However, parabens are toxic. May cause allergic reactions and skin eczema.
It is also known as a substance that mimics the estrogen hormone. In other words, it can cause some hormonal disorders with its accumulation on the skin in long-term use. Paraben doesn't just accumulate on the skin. It has also been found to pass into tissues, blood and urine.
Paraben; deodorants can be found in hand - face creams. Within the scope of the cosmetic regulation, the use of parabens in cosmetic products is limited to certain limits.
